What administrators ask first
Is the seminar virtual or on-site?
Either. The seminar is delivered live — in your building or over video — and is the same 8-hour NCCDP curriculum either way. On-site works well when you can pull a full group; virtual works well for multi-site organizations and for staff joining from home between shifts.
How many staff can we send?
The 20% corporate discount applies for groups of up to 25 staff members. Larger organizations typically schedule multiple sessions so the floor stays covered — ask about a multi-session schedule.
Does everyone who attends become a CDP?
No — and this is the part most organizations miss. The seminar is the required first step. After attending, each staff member applies to NCCDP directly with their certificate of attendance. NCCDP requires at minimum one year of paid full-time experience with an organization and a high school diploma or GED; no college degree is required. Staff who don't yet qualify still receive the training and certificate, and can apply once they meet the requirement.
How long does certification last?
CDP certification is valid for two years, then renewed through NCCDP. That renewal cycle is what turns a single training day into an ongoing dementia-care culture rather than a one-time checkbox.
Do nurses get CEUs?
Yes — 7 CEUs for nurses through CEU Network, accepted in most states, for an additional fee. Confirm your state board's acceptance when you schedule and we'll flag anything that needs attention.
Which staff should attend?
Anyone who interacts with residents or clients — not just clinical roles. Care staff, nurses, med techs, activities, dining, housekeeping, front desk, transportation, and leadership all benefit, and the credential is available to non-clinical staff who meet NCCDP's experience requirement.

What does it cost in total?
